To savor summer, we have been sipping on Sparkling Rosemary Lemonade. Our rosemary is growing like a weed in our garden, so this is the perfect drink to help us use it up! The rosemary and sparkling water give the lemonade an elegant and unique flavor. It is an easy drink to mix up and it is so refreshing. It is pretty to serve at parties too and it’s always a hit!
Make a big pitcher of Sparkling Rosemary Lemonade and sip away! This is one of my very favorite lemonades and I hope you enjoy it too! Cheers!
Sparkling Rosemary Lemonade
1 cup fresh lemon juice (from about 6 lemons)
3/4 cup granulated sugar
Zest of 2 lemons
Two 4-inch sprigs fresh rosemary, plus more for serving
4 to 6 cups chilled sparkling water
1. Stir the lemon juice with the sugar in a small saucepan and bring to a simmer over medium heat. Lower the heat and cook, stirring frequently, until the sugar is completely dissolved. Add the lemon zest and the rosemary sprigs. Simmer for another minute, then turn off the heat. Cover and refrigerate overnight.
2. Strain out the lemon zest and rosemary and mix with the chilled sparkling water in a sealed jar or bottle. Taste and add more water if you want a lighter flavor.
3. Serve over ice with a small sprig of rosemary.
