I’m sure all of us have our own little favorite kitchen tips. Things we do to make life in the kitchen just a little bit easier, cleaner, or tastier! Over the next few weeks, my posts are going to be all about my kitchen tips and yours!
One of the best things I have ever learned is how to get the garlic or onion smell off of your hands after handling either garlic or onions (or both!) I had tried scrubbing my hands, wearing gloves – but the smell would still always linger. But do you know what really works? After cutting the garlic or onions, go to the sink and wash your hands with no soap. Yep – just the plain water. And guess what? The smell is gone!
And a great tip for if you have forgotten to take the chicken out of the freezer the night before so you’d have time to marinate it – stick the marinade in the bag with the frozen chicken (or fish) and it will marinate as it thaws. Or another great time saving idea – put the marinade in the bag with the chicken before you freeze it. That way, when you take out the chicken to thaw, it’s already in it’s marinade!
What are your favorite kitchen tips?
